India International Jewellery Show (IIJS) 2018 slated to be held from 9TH - 13TH August to showcase India's leadership role in the world G&J sector

• A special preview on 8th August for International Buyers and Select leading retailers, Buyers, retail Chains & Industry leaders
• Introducing Hall 7 A with 10800 Sq mtrs (Pillar less Hall) thus offering opportunity for expansion of 800 new booths
• The Machinery section will now be hosted at Hotel Lalit and Hotel Leela offering unprecedented access to the latest machinery and technology
• Focus would be on providing support to Exporters and MSME manufacturers
• Prelude to IIJS and a special CSR event to be organised

The 35th edition of Premier IIJS 2018 is all set to showcase India's leadership role in the gem and jewellery sector from 9thAugust – 13th August, 2018 at Bombay Exhibition Centre, Goregaon. Organised by GJEPC, IIJS will witness the biggest assembly of retailers, wholesalers, distributors and designers and around 40,000 domestic and international footfalls this year. The duration of the show will now comprise of five days and a special preview on 8th August for International Buyers and select leading retailers, Buyers, retail Chains & Industry leaders.

Mr. Pramod Agrawal, Chairman, GJEPC, said, "The IIJS in the last 3 and half decades has evolved as Asia's leading jewellery trade fair. IIJS 2018 would showcase the best jewellery collections crafted by over 1300 of the country's leading manufacturers. Focus this year would be on providing support to Exporters and MSME manufacturers. The flagship show also demonstrates that India's jewellery manufacturing has come of age and is widely acclaimed as a reliable and competitive source for retailers and consumers from across the world. Also the global trade partners and their buying cycles revolves around the exhibition, for replenishing their inventories and for getting insights/perspective on future styles, forecasts and trend-spotting."

Gems & Jewellery Exports from India reported USD 40972.36 million in FY 17-18. GJEPC has played a crucial role in developing the gem and jewellery export industry in India. IIJS is GJEPC's flagship show, featuring well defined sections of Diamonds, Gemstones, Gold and studded Jewellery. This year, the main highlight of the show is computer aided 3D manufacturing and designing methods that will be on display at the exhibition. The event is poised to witness more than 1300+ exhibitors, 2500+ stalls and is expected to draw 40000+ visitors from 800+ cities, towns, pan India and 80+ countries.

Mr. Shailesh Sangani, Convener, Exhibition National said, "At IIJS, every year we try to give our traders and visitors a better experience. By introducing Hall 7 A with 10800 Sq mtrs of area, we have facilitated 800 new booths for the ease of the public and buyers on a large scale. Also in order to facilitate business development, an online business matching program and knowledge seminars have been scheduled for international buyers and exhibitors. Like last year, GJEPC will be organizing a Prelude to IIJS, a B2B jewellery fashion showcase and a special CSR event wherein GJEPC and its members would donate 1 crore in Charity."

IIJS 2018 will host knowledge seminars where Experts from technology to design trends and marketing, keeping you up-to-date with the latest that the industry has to offer.

The event will have exclusive international pavilion of Thailand, UAE, Turkey and Italy. In addition, 150 new exhibitors and suppliers will add up to the existing database and create more opportunities for the discerning trade visitors.

Some of the other new features of IIJS 2018 include 300 New carpark identified in IT Park, 250 mtrs special covered walkway from hall 1 towards Lodha parking, Golf carts for Senior citizen and Specially abled person. Apart from that IIJS has introduced 3 years badges valid for 6 events (IIJS premier 3 shows & IIJS Signature 3 Shows) thus eradicating tedious paperwork and in future it has plans to go completely online.

The Machinery section will now be hosted at Hotel Lalit and Hotel Leela offering unprecedented access to the latest machinery and technology. The product category will include Jewellery Production Machinery & Equipment; Diamond Production Machinery & Equipment, Gemstones Machinery, Casting & Electric Casting Equipment, Precious Alloy, Refinery Ingredients, and Tools & Equipment.

IIJS provides a perfect platform for the country's leading exhibitors, manufacturers and retailers to facilitate an exchange of market insights and knowledge, providing networking opportunities for business and showcasing India's leadership in the gems and jewellery section. 200 + Domestic Door to Door Roadshows have also been planned to promote IIJS Premier Show in nook and corner of the country, also International Roadshows to be conducted at Bangladesh, Myanmar, Malaysia, Singapore, Doha & Nepal.
