Gemological Science International [GSI] opens lab services in Surat, India
Gemological Science International (GSI) a full-service, high-tech lab designed specifically to meet the rapidly changing needs of the jewelry industry, has announced the launch of its state-of-the-art laboratory facility at Surat. As a result of growing business and more demand for GSI certification,GSI decided to expand its services by adding another laboratory in Diamond World complex of Surat – the hub of diamond industry. |

GIA Suspends Diamond Sealing Services and Duplicate Reports
Effective immediately, GIA will suspend diamond sealing services and the issuance of duplicate reports at all locations. The Institute is taking this action after receiving a sealed diamond for verification that did not match the data label in the sealing packet. GIA, with the assistance of an outside corporate investigation firm, is examining the circumstances surrounding the submission to determine the source of the sealing packet. More |
