A Memorandum of Understating (MOU) was signed between HRD Antwerp India and Arihannt Diamond Institute (ADI) for academic collaboration in India on 18th November at the HRD Antwerp India office in Mumbai.

This MOU will facilitate the exchange of students, faculties as well as diamond, gemstone and jewellery related courses between the two institutes at Mumbai, Surat and pan India. HRD Antwerp is Europe’s leading authority when it comes to diamond grading, education and equipment. They draw on 570 years of experience passed down through the Antwerp’s diamond trade, and strive for perfection, delivering the highest quality in all their products and services.

The history of HRD Antwerp is intertwined with that of The Antwerp World Diamond Centre (AWDC). The latter is a private foundation, established in 1973 as the Hoge Raad voor Diamant (HRD) or Diamond High Council, at the initiative of the Belgian government and diamond industry representatives.

In 2007, HRD Antwerp India was opened as a representative office offering educational services. Additional services in India which include diamond grading, jewellery grading and equipment sales were introduced in 2012.

HRD Antwerp India’s educational services offer the coveted ‘HRD Antwerp Certified Diamond Grader’ diploma courses in various industry disciplines, tailor-made programmes and individual coaching to meet up with the growing educational demand within the industry.

All HRD Antwerp courses offer hands-on practical sessions, individual access to the latest equipment, customisation as per specific client requirements and joint education certification.

Arihannt Diamond Institute was established to meet the growing demand of technology, expertise and knowledge in the field of diamond and jewellery since its commencement in 1998. They offer 18 different types of courses under a single banner from rough diamond to jewellery design courses.
